We have a Toddler!

How did one year come and go so fast? It was yesterday when I held him all bundled up in a swaddle and he would sleep for hours on end. Now he is running around the house and talking gibberish, singing, and mimicking everything we do. He has 11 teeth and loves to carry his sippy cup around and eat cheerios from his snack trap. His favorite thing to eat for lunch are mozeralla cheese sticks. He loves to go "bye, bye." The minute the door opens he is immediately obedient. He says mom, Dada, hello, bye bye, b (for bird), ruff (for dog), b (for ball). He can even say and mimic the following phrases: "Here you go," "Thank You," Bye Daddy," and my favorite "I love you." He can also moo, oink, and baa. He is obsessed with shoes and likes to bring us our shows and will try to put them on our feet. The other morning when Travis was getting ready to leave for work he ran to Travis' sock drawer and brought out a pair of socks and tried to put them on Travis' feet. He also loves to see the birds when we go outside. He is constantly looking for birds. He also enjoys seeing and playing with dogs. Below are pictures from about 11-12 months old.

Little Beaver!
Because Colin is continually teething he bites his crib rail.

Solution: Crib railing covers. I should have done this earlier.

I love his curls. And his hair even looks red!

Old George was one of lions that my grandpa worked with when he was a zoo keeper at the San Francisco Zoo. After talking with my mother, we think that Old George was Alice's father. Alice was a lion that my grandpa took home for 6 weeks to take care of when she was born.

Colin takes after his great grandpa in his love of tigers and lions.

So happy seeing the Tigers and Lions.

Easter Morning
April 24, 2011

Opening his easter eggs to find fish crackers. I put out a bunch of Easter eggs all over the living room floor and Travis helped him pick them up and put them in his basket. He loves putting items into boxes and so he loved this activity.

I love it when he hoots like an owl.

Not wanting to have anything to do with getting dressed up in his Easter outfit for church.

Thank you Bonnie Jacobs for the Easter gifts!

Swimming Lessons
May 5, 2011
During the month of May we went to a "Mommy and Me" swim class through the City of Sunnyvale. We went every Tues. and Thurs. We practiced floating on his back and stomach, kicking his feet, blowing bubbles, and dunking his head under the water.

One phone is not enough!

About ready to eat his first cupcake.

Or not!. He did not like the cupcake and wanted nothing to do with it. This is very unusual for him. He usually eats anything we give him. Who doesn't want a cupcake?

Off to work with his notepad and pen.
